Weight Loss for life not just for holidays

  • Diets often make the process of weight loss appear more complicated than it is the reality is simple……  take in fewer calories (less energy) than you need.

  • Calories are measurements of energy – if an individual uses 2000 calories in one day and takes in 2000 calories of food and drink they will stay the same weight:

When energy in   is equal to   Energy out   the result is

Stable Weight

To lose weight you should eat fewer calories than
you need.

Although the maths is simple it is not always so easy to achieve your weight loss goals, I am here at Trigger Points Ponteland to make the whole process totally achievable for you.

More maths…….. One pound of fat contains approximately 3,500 calories, so to lose one pound a week, you should eat 3,500 less calories per week. This can be done by reducing the daily intake by 500 calories per day (500 x 7 days will provide a deficit of 3,500 calories per week). To lose 2 pounds per week, a deficit of 1,000 calories per day is required.
