Kairen qualified in Health Science/Health Education (specialising in exercise and nutrition) at Northumbria University and worked as a health education specialist in North Tyneside for 10 years until 2000.
While still working in Health education Kairen began to train as a trigger point and sports therapist. She has trained in sports therapy, deep tissue treatments and trigger point therapy, which she studied at Newcastle and Edinburgh.
Kairen has also worked as a lecturer in anatomy & physiology and advanced massage techniques at Newcastle College. During her time at Newcastle College she also qualified in aromatherapy, reflexology and acupressure massage.
In September 2010 Kairen opened Trigger Points Clinic where she specialised in Trigger Point Therapy with remedial massage and Sports Injury treatments.
Now located in Corbridge in the Tyne Valley area which is also close to Prudhoe, Stocksfield, Riding Mill, Hexham, Matfen, Chollerford and Haydon Bridge.
